30 days. 5 Small Habits. A softer kind of wellness reset 🌿

This July, we hit pause not on work, but on burnout.

As a team that spends a lot of time behind screens (socials, content calendars and customer DMs), we felt the mid-year fog creeping in. So, a few of us at BeReal Wear committed to something different: a 30-day wellness challenge designed to help us reset gently and intentionally.

It wasn’t about drastic change or new routines. Just simple, daily habits showing up for ourselves, one small moment at a time.

What the Challenge Looked Like

Each of us chose a few habits we wanted to stick to nothing extreme, just consistently doable.

Here’s the shared structure we followed:

Focus Area Daily Habit
Movement Take a short walk or do 15 minutes of stretching
Mindfulness Spend 10 minutes journaling or sitting in silence
Nutrition Eat one nourishing meal without distractions
Sleep Turn off screens at least 1 hour before bedtime
Digital Detox Log off social media by 9:00 PM (yes, even us!)

 

We tracked progress with sticky notes, phone apps, and in one case a whiteboard full of smiley faces.

What Actually Changed

1. Tiny changes = Big energy shifts

We realized how little habits could totally transform our mindset. Some of us just stretched every morning. Others swapped a daily scroll for silence. It all added up.

2. Logging off helped us log back into life

We’re social media executives but we found that stepping away from our feeds at night helped us feel clearer, more rested, and way less reactive.

3. Nature is wildly underrated

Even short walks or eating outside made a difference. It's like the brain just works better with fresh air.

4. Mindful eating made meals more meaningful

Fewer rushed bites between emails, more moments actually tasting food. It helped slow us down in a good way.

5. Sleep is a superpower

This one surprised us the most: when we respected our sleep, our mood and creativity improved almost instantly.

How You Can Try It Too

Want to try your own BeReal style wellness reset? Here’s our advice:

  • Pick 3–5 small habits that feel good to you.

  • Don’t aim for perfection, aim for presence.

  • Track progress in any way that motivates you.

  • Choose one habit to start with if all five feels like too much.

  • Be kind to yourself on the off days, they’re part of it too.

The Verdict: Worth Every Day

This wasn’t about transforming our bodies or becoming productivity machines. It was about reconnecting with ourselves, our bodies, our breath, our time.

Would we do it again? 100%.
Would we recommend it? Absolutely, especially if you’re feeling stretched thin or disconnected from the things that matter.

You don’t need anything fancy to start  but we’ll say this: wearing something you feel comfortable and confident in (yes, BeReal Wear counts) does make it easier to show up for yourself.
