Sweat For A Good Cause

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.”

Do you want to do something good for yourself and others? Sweating for a good cause is about bettering yourself and the world around you. That doesn’t just mean charities. It could be about checking in with a friend. Or even picking up trash you see while you are out for a swim or hike.

Challenge yourself to break a sweat with a charity. It could be that you will walk a mile every £5 raised. It is a great way to help keep your stress levels low. As well as, having a positive impact on you and others around you. There are loads of charities that sponsor events that require exercise and are very happy to sponsor people who are willing to try fun ways to raise money!

If you want a different way to sweat for a good cause. Why don’t you check in with a friend who you haven’t seen in a while? Or, with someone who is having a bad day. This is because exercise boosts the production of endorphins which create a positive feeling throughout your body. It also gives a nice distraction to whatever is going on in their head. It could be as simple as going for a walk or finding a new class exercise you both have been trying to go to.

Caring for the environment as you go on an adventure is also another good cause to break a sweat. This could be a beach clean up with friends and family. Or, while you are on your walk you can pick up any trash you see, whether or not it is yours. Protecting the environment while you benefit from it will help you keep places looking nice for you and others to enjoy.

Talk to your local council about if you can plant more trees in your local parks or on your favourite run route. Or, about adding more plants to the neighbourhood.

There are lots of ways that you can break a sweat for a good cause. Some of them are easier to do than others. But, they all require you to start thinking about how you can create a positive effect by sweating for a good cause.
